Alaska Highway, Alaska, Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, mountains, snow, mountains with snow, trees, fog, clouds

Day 6: Tok, Alaska, to Anchorage, Alaska

Note: This section of the road was not officially a part of the Alaska Highway. The ALCAN travels up to Fairbanks while the cutoff road dips southwest to Anchorage.

This section of the road was busy with motorists stopping to take photos of the sweeping views of distant mountain ranges. The highway skirted past the northern edge of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.

I honestly do not have much to say about the final day of driving. The scenery was so beautiful that sometimes it just wasn’t worth it to stop at every single panorama. (If that makes any sense.)

Day Totals:

Miles driven: ~ 318

Driving time:  ~5 hrs 45 mins
