LONE VISITOR

Ohio
Cincinnati is an interesting city; it is as if it does not know whether it belongs to the Upper South or Midwest. Ohio traditionally is referred to as a Midwestern state, but Cincinnati is in extreme southern Ohio, with Kentucky directly across the river.
In June 2013, I visited the city and some of its attractions.
President William Howard Taft was born in Cincinnati, and at his National Historic Site, I learned that he is the only American president to serve as President, Vice President, and a member of the Supreme Court.
Walking along the Ohio River was beautiful and I walked across to Kentucky and took a picture of the city’s skyline.
The Cincinnati Reds are the oldest baseball team in America, and their ballpark is one of the best in the major leagues. A riverboat is incorporated into the structure of the outfield, and the Ohio River and the hills of Kentucky can be seen in right field.
